Seth Blossom died Nov. 24 at his son’s home at Cherry Hill, Bourret township, of old age and a paralytic stroke, aged 84 years and 5 months. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Andrews at Cherry Hill schoolhouse. Interment in Bourret cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 12-7/1911 Column – 2 Page – 1.

 

JOHN L. BOURETT (15 JUN 1878 – 6 APRIL 1912)

 

BOURRET.

 

John L. Bourret died at the home of his father, John B. Bourret in Bourret township on April 7, Easter Sunday, 1912 at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 8 days. Interment in Bourret cemetery, Thursday April 9, at 2 p.m. Deceased was born in Tsle la Motte, Vermont, on June 15, 1879, his father and family coming to Michigan a year later, where he has resided ever since, having been a resident of Gladwin county since 1882. He leaves a wife, father, one brother and one sister to mourn his early death. Gladwin County Record dated 4-18/1912 Column - 1 Page - 4.

Rosetta A., wife of John B. Bourret, of White Cloud, Michigan, formerly of Alger, Michigan, passed away at the home of her son, Roy Rogers, in Flint, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 1933, at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband, also one son, Roy Rogers, and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Rose of Flint and Mrs. H. J. Flewelling of Kalamazoo, also two brothers, Frank Finley of Flint and Charles Finley of Battle Creek, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Edinger of Flint and Mrs. Joseph Fletcher of Chicago.

 

After a short funeral service at the Reigle Undertaking Parlors on South Saginaw street, Flint, her remains were taken to Caro, Michigan , for interment. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved. Gladwin County Record dated 3-2/1933 Column – 2 Page – 1.

Velma Vera May, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Doan, died March 21, aged 15 days of pneumonia. Services were held at the home, followed by interment in Bourret cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 4-6/1911 Column - 3 Page - 1.

FRANK WEAVER (1 AUG 1884 - 2 JAN 1911)

 

   Frank Weaver died Jan. 2 at 4 p.m. at his brother's home in Logan, Ostego county from concussion of the brain, having been struck by a limb from a falling tree. He lived four hours after being struck. He is survived by his father, mother, three brothers and four sisters. He was brought home to Bourett township and services were held at his father's on Friday at 1 p.m., Rev. Alonzo Andrews officiating followed by interment in Bourett cemetery.
